Fall 2021: Health and Safety

Health and Safety:  2021 Season

Here is health and safety information for residency applicants and others in our community.

  • Together with medical professionals, we have reviewed our operations and have devised policies to help ensure the safety of all who visit, live, and work on its campus.  Happily, there were no Covid cases during Catwalk’s 2020 season.
  • With sixty-five acres of countryside, Catwalk has ample space for social distancing.  Masks will be required when social distancing of 6 feet is not possible.
  • The occupancy limit will be 7 artists at any time, each with a private bedroom (unless applying as a couple).  Bathrooms are private or shared by 1 other resident.  Kitchens are either private or shared by 1 to 3 other residents.
  • Vaccines:  Catwalk foresees requiring proof of a Covid vaccination from residents who are eligible for the vaccine at the time of residency.  Updated information will be provided to those selected as residents.
  • NY State-Required Quarantines:  NY State quarantine policies can be found here.  If subject to the requirement, you must complete the entire quarantine and test process before arriving at Catwalk.
  • Health screenings will be conducted upon arrival and as needed.
  • At the season’s outset we anticipate that we will retain our “modified bubble” policy, meaning residents may leave campus for essential errands and socially distanced exercise only.  As the season progresses, we may be able to amend this policy.
  • Catwalk Institute will monitor the health situation and make adjustments to policies and procedures as needed.  The 2021 season may be suspended due to health concerns or governmental directives.
